Explain Why some elements are diatomic.
Solution :-
Atoms which do not have 8 electrons in their outer most orbital are unstable therefore they try to complete their octets by sharing electrons by the formation of the covalent bonds with the atoms of the same elements and completel their octetes and attain stability mostly the gases like N2, O2, F2 ,Cl2, are present in the diatomic states to attain the stability by completing their octets. H2 is the gas which completes ints duplet ( having 2 electrons in outermost orbital) by forming bond with 2 H atoms.
