are the substances below renewable or non-renewable organic compounds? What are their sources if renewable or non-renewable?

O-toluic acid

Benzophenone

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Both are neither non-renewable nor renewable organic substances.

A non-renewable source is a natural source in limited supply.

Renewable sources comes from natural sources that are constantly and sustainably replenished.

But we prepared the two compounds O-toluic acid Benzophenone synthetically in a laboratory, may be in some organism these will produce in minute amounts but major production from laboratories (large production from chemical industries) only.

Hence these are neither non-renewable nor renewable organic substances.
