What method of analysis (IR, CNMR, mpt, HNMR) would distinguish between iodovanillin and bromovanillin without looking for literature data on the compounds? Explain.

IR , 1H NMR and 13C NMR will be almost same for iodovanillin and bromovanillin becasue iodine and bromine has almost similar electronegative therefore the change in any peak of all spectrum will be not defferent.

but MELTING POINT of both iodovanillin and bromovanillin , will be different becuase of different interaction in the molecules.

thus MELTING POINT determination method of analysis would distinguish between iodovanillin and bromovanillin without looking for literature data on the compounds.
