can someone please discuss the quality of our water supply, or your perception of the quality of your tap water at home. Do you think it is safe? Why or why not? Do you drink tap water or bottled water? Why? Does it have to do with the perceived quality or safety, or is it more about the taste? Do you think there is any relationship between taste and safety?

Answer #1

If the source of yur tap water is underground water than it is safe for drinking as it is purified/filtered by the layers of soil but might not be good in taste.

On the otherhand, if your tap water has an open source like a pond or a river than the water is definitely not safe for drinking as it may be contaminated by the various atmospheric pollutants &/or industral and household generated wastes.

No, there is no relation between taste and safety as distilled water which is free from nutrients as well as harmful contaminations is fit and safe for drinking but is tasteless.
