Answer #1

Screening: In screening process, the contaminants are removed by pressurized screens. It is used to remove shives, stikies, waxes etc.

Centrifugal cleaning: In centrifugal cleaning a huge centrifugal force field is created that pushes heavy particles towards the wall and light particles towards the center. Hence this process is mainlyused to remove heavy particles such as metals, sand particles, glass particles etc.

washing: It is a filtration process in which a filter cloth is used to remove suspension debris particles smaller than the mesh size of the filter cloth.

Pulping or slushing: In this process recovered paper treatment is done to disintegrate the raw material convertng it into a pumpable suspension. This process can remove wooden parts, plastic films etc.
