How we can differentiate between identical molecule, enantiomers and diastereomers?
# The molecules which have similar structure , similar molecular formula and have superimposable mirror image are terms as identical molecules.
# molecules which have similar molecular formula but different structure( i.e different arrangements of atoms or groups in space) and have non- superimposable mirror image are terms as enantiomers.
# molecules which have similar molecular formula and are not mirror images of each other and also non-superimposable mirror image are terms as diastereomers.
for e.g:-
str.l and ll are identical
Str.lll and lV are enantiomers and
Str. lll and V, and lV and V are diastereomers.
