Generally, the liquid liquid extraction is done by an organic solvent to extract organic compounds which are not soluble in water. If the compound is soluble in water then extraction by organic solvent will not work. It is not mentioned what is the solubility of the sample in water. Soemtimes if the compound is sparingly soluble then extraction with organic solvent works.

Moreover, it is not mentioned which solvent to be used, so the best way to answer is to say that extraction won't work here. Some other method to be used to isolate the compound, like evaporation of water.
