Why should we, let’s say, do a 100-fold dilution of the original copper solution instead of just making a solution with measuring samaller amount of copper and then use that solution instead of the 100-fold diluted one?

Dilution is defined as the ratio of amount of solute present in the solvent. It is always advised in the laboratories to prepare diluted solutions to minimise the errors. A stock solution of higher concentrations of the required metals are prepared and stored. The main reason is we can save time if we prepare stock solution and store it to prepare furthur dilutions instead weighing the salts everytime which saves time, dilutions will be accurate, conserve the usage of salts or the desired material. Sometimes its impossible to measure the weight of the metal salt so accurately at lower fold there comes to rescue the diluton factor. Weighing a 100 fold copper salt may not be accurate but can be acheived by diluting from the stock.
