You have just moved from Alaska to the Mojave Desert of California and you are having trouble adjusting to this new, hotter and drier climate. What are TWO things you can do to acclimate to these new conditions? Describe how and why these changes would specifically help you acclimate to the warmer temperature and drier environment.
Answer :)
Perform light recreational activities and don’t use the air conditioners.
As we move to hot weather our body gets heat by outside. The light recreational activities help the body to warm quickly by inside. By that, the body started to sense the outside temperature as the weather. The seasons in a year change slowly to make our body adaptable to the changes. Here, we suddenly moved to hot from cold, the body should have to sense the change in the weather.
The air conditioner provides a set environment. Therefore, it is important to stop the air conditioner and started to use it when the body is acclimatized to the new environment.
