Eukaryotic type II gene:
The eukaryotic gene structure consists of a set of regulatory sequence and mature mRNA which is interrupted by introns. After splicing of introns via spliceosomes a complete gene or protein-coding gene is obtained. Before the coding gene, there is regulatory sequence called promoter where RNA polymerase and other pre-initiation complex is recruited to initiate transcription of the gene.
