Homework Answers

Answer #1

Answer --- (A)

Drusen are the yellowish deposition of the protein and lipid under the retina and they can develop macular degeneration and so the answer will be A.

Drusens are the diagnostic feature of macular degeneration and when multiple drusens are seen in retina then there a probable diagnosis of age-related macular degeneration.

The macula is the small part in the retina which gets damaged in the macular degeneration and due to this central vision is lost.

While other options are wrong because Meniere disease is related to the disorder of the inner ear that causes vertigo and so this is wrong.

Glaucoma is the disease related to the damage of the optical nerve due to increase pressure in eyes and this causes permanent vision loss of the eyes and so this is also wrong.

Fibromyalgia is related to musculoskeletal disorder and not mainly related to the eyes and so the final answer will be A.

Answer 2 (C)

Buffers system has buffer solutions that have a mixture of weak acid or base and its salt.

Buffers are mainly known two which are phosphate system buffer and bicarbonate buffers and they both use to convert the strong acid and strong base into weaker ones.

for example in bicarbonate buffer

bicarbonate ion converts the strong acid into a weak acid and carbonic acid converts the strong base and so the final answer will be C.

Buffer system does not change the form of the molecule or the solution they balance them and converts them into weak and so option A and B are inappropriate and they are wrong.

And they are seen to convert stronger into weaker one so option D is also wrong and final answer is B.

Good wishes do rate please thank you.
