Transcripts contain a leader squence and a polyAtail.

the poly[A] tail protects the mRNA from degradation, aids in the export of the mature mRNA to the cytoplasam, and is involved in initiating translation. Introns are removed from the premRNA before the mRNA is exported to the cytoplasm.

Transcript leaders can have profound effects on mRNA translation and stability. The leader sequence can assume two different secondary structures known as the terminator and the anti terminator structure . This allows RNA polymerase to transcribe the operon
