2)It can be able to develope into adult gametophyte/ plant on its own and does not need to fuse with another gamete to form zygote as observed in gametophyte system.

3)spores has thicker outer layer that protects them so that it can remain dormant and survive extreme conditions viable until conditions supporting for thier growth appears whereas gametophytes are delicate

No, not all the green plants produce same characteristic spores spores are haploid only in vascular plants . Heterosporous plants such as seed plants produce megasporangium and microsporangium in which male and female spores separate
