Replication Fork:- It is the actual area of DNA replication The DNA is read by DNA polymerase from 3 prime to 5 prime direction. The leading strand is continuously synthesized by the DNA polymerase activity from 5 prime to 3 prime direction. Whereas the lagging strand is synthesized in the opposite direction the growing replication fork The small fragments are called Okazaki fragments.
