The protein synthesised on ribosomes moves to the organelle on the basis of their signal peptide sequence present in the protein. It can move to the following organelle:

*Endoplasmic reticulum

* Chloroplast

* Mitochondria.

* Nucleus

First of all, the protein is synthesised on the ribosome present in the cytoplasm, then it targets to the ER. After that it is transported to the golgi body. Then it transport to the mitochondria and chloroplast. The protein is directed to nucleus through nuclear membrane.
