Steps that must be done to instruments prior to use to prevent contamination are:

(1) All instrument should be sterilize before using them so as to prevent any contamination. Media, solution should also be sterilize to prevent contamination.

(2) Working area should be neat and clean with disinfectant so to avoid contamination.

Sterilization of instruments, media is performed in following ways:

a. Sterlization using heat that could be moist or dry heat.

b. Sterlization using flame.

c. Sterilization performed using alcohol.

Handles of a sink faucet is more likely to have a higher microbial load on this campus as the bacteria get entered in the body of an individual using contact like mouth, hand , food . Handles of a sink get contaminated because mostly people do not wash their hands with soap after using toilet. So, the unclean hands touch the sink faucet and it get contaminated.
