What causes Hydrogen bonding?
Hydrogen bonding is the bonding between hydrogen and electronegative atom like oxygen and fluorine. In this bonding electron is not shared between hydrogen and negatively charged atom. This bonding is more weaker than the ionic bonding and covalent bonding. This bonding is stronger than the Vander valls forces.
Hydrogen bond is formed between in polar molecules because it has positive charge and attract negatively charged molecules. It does not occur in non-polar molecules.
Example: Water molecule
The hydrogen bonding occurs between hydrogen and negatively charged oxygen atom.
