Why can mitochondria be considered the "power plants" of aerobic cells?

Mitochondria actually called as" power house of the cell" because in mitochondria ATP's are generated.ATP(Adenosine Tri Phosphate) is a energy currency of the cell.It is produced in mitochondria by using enzyme ATP Synthase through Electron Transport chain.This whole process of ATP synthesis is called oxidative phosphorylation because here oxygen is used as a last electron acceptor and produced H20.In the cell lot of metabolic processes(Anabolic&Catabolic) continuously ongoing and whenever they need energy they always used ATP as a sourse of energy. Therefore Mitochondria known as a Power House of cell because Mitochondria is the biggest provider of metabolic energy in the form of ATP.
