For this discussion, I would like for you to further explore the details surrounding the endangerment of any of the lesser and greater apes (i.e. gibbons, siamangs, orangutans, gorillas, chimpanzees, or bonobos). Use outside resources like the internet (you don’t need peer reviewed journal articles, but are welcome to use them!) to find information regarding the specific reasons why these primates are endangered. You are required to share at least two of your resources (i.e. website links are fine) in your original post and you are encouraged to share your resources with other students in your comments on their posts. In order to get full credit for this discussion, also discuss what conservation steps are being taken to address these issues, and if you think these efforts will be successful. Why or why not?

According to the IUCN(the international union for the conservation of Nature.
Many studies and reaches fund that condition of ape and primate conservation programs has worsened.
In Africa continent, bush meat trade is one of the main threat for primate species. It is very common in the African region.
Another threat to primates is the destruction of their habitats. Habitats destruction is increasing rapidly globally due to logging and deforestation.
In south-east Asia most of the primates like gibbons langurs, leaf monkeys are at the risk of extinction due to habitats loss, wildlife trade and for Chinese medicines.
