The Histone is required to let the DNA wrap around them, so that DNA can be stored in a cell. The DNA is synthesized is S phase of the cell cycle, so to wrap this dna also Histones should be synthesized in S phase. The induction of Histone occurs in G1 to S transition and synthesis occurs in S phase. So option B is the correct answer.

Option A is the wrong because there is no stage like G2 phase of prophase. G2 phase is part of Interphase and prophase is part of metaphase.

Option C is also wrong because in prophase Histones are not synthesized.

Option D is wrong because telophase is also part of metaphase and in metaphase also the Histones are not synthesized.
