The giardia intestinalis be of concern to epidemiologists because, Giardia intestinalis is the  most common intestinal infections found in the  United States. It is an intestinal infection caused by Giardia lamblia, It is  commonly found all over the world, Its prevalence rates is high in young children. It is  passed through food. It  causes diarrheal disease, it can lead to death among young children. It is more common among poor populations because of poor sanitation and  untreated water,  poor health hygiene, poor toilet training, overcrowding, and low socioeconomic status. Food prepared in unhygenic condition also transmit giardiasis.
