Answer #1

Species is a group of living organisms which contains similar organisms, they are capable of interbreeding and can exchange genes among themselves. It is a lowest taxonomic unit which is present after genus and its member share the largest similiarties. Speciation can occur between two populations of a species, when populations of a species which are  geographically isolated by which gene flow does not takes place between them with time and become genetically different from each other. By this way species may change with time and speciation can occur.
