Which human activities put sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides into the atmosphere? What chemicals do they form in the atmosphere? What dangerous phenomenon do they produce?

Human activities like chimneys of Thermal power plant release gases like sulphur oxides and nitrogen oxide after burning fossil fuels like coals. The exhaust of vehicles like cars,buses, trucks also release these gases as some hydrocarbon remain unburnt.

As these gases go high in atmosphere they react with water and oxygen and form acids which dissolves with water and precipitate in the form of rain which is also called acid rain. Acid rain is very dangerous phenomena. These causes Fog and makes environment polluted.
