Answer:(b) Jacob-cruitzfeit disease

The common term for Bovine spongiform encephalopathy is mad cow disease, which is a progressive neurological disorder of cattle. In humans it is called Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, after the two doctors who first described the symptoms of the disease. It is caused by prions. It is characterized by rapidly progressive dementia associated with myoclonic jerks.

The brains of affected individuals show a characteristic cystic degeneration. This mad cow disease may be acquired by eating diseased meat products. When it comes from cattle, the disorder is called Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease (CJD). CJD ultimately leads to dementia and death. The condition is rare.
