Homework Answers

Answer #1

1. Heat sterilization of the inoculation loop is done to make the loop contamination free. But one should not instantly use the extremely hot ( above 1000°c ) inoculation loop to transfer bacterial culture or inoculums. Instead the loop should be allowed to cool down for some time before using because all microorganisms adhering to the loop will get killed. They will get completely destroyed by the high temperature if used instantly after heat sterilization.
