Patient History.

42 year old gentleman presented with abscess shoulder for 2 weeks. He had pain, fever and fatigueness. No history of injury.

He was on treatment for diabetes mellitus. No other relevant past history. His both parents had diabetes mellitus.

Age.

Patients age is 42 years.

Patient Symptoms

He had a painful swelling in right shoulder. Rise of temperature. Increased fatigueness.

Resolution

He took resolution to stick on to treatment for diabetes mellitus. Also proper regular checkups and follow up. To check for complications of diabetes mellitus.

Treatment

He underwent abscess drainage. He was under intravenous antibiotics for 5 days. Insulin was started for management of diabetes mellitus. Urine Ketone was negative. Discharged changing to oral antibiotics and oral hypoglycemics. He was advised for followup after a week.
