Why is the rubisco enzyme considered as the most important protein on earth?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

As we know the plant based nutrient, DNA and protein all the essential bio molecules contains carbon and that carbon is not fixed by animal. All the carbon comes from photosynthesis where atmospheric carbon dioxide is fixed and comes to food chain. This fixation is carried out by the Rubisco or ribulose 1,5 bis phosphate carboxylase/oxygenase enzyme. Rubisco is found in plant algae, phototrphic and chemoautrophics. It is most abundantly found protein on the earth. Without considering the rubisco it is difficult to imagine the life on earth.
