Darwinian puzzle is a trait that has negative effects on the animal which possesses it. It can reduce the mobility or longevity of that individual. Example: bright colors of male birds, long tails of male peacock. Long tails of male peacock reduces the mobility and it makes easier to be seen by predators. But still these traits exist, because these are trait which make the bird more beautiful, appealing for the female bird. This Darwinian puzzle trait is a part of sexual selection
