Many gene are regulated at transcription level.Transcript processing, degarde the mRNA are some of the ways. the expression of genes that cooperate in a specific process or function is ften achieved by activators and repressors.In the process the product of one gene can act as the activators or repressors of the subsequent genes. If the gene make an activator the expression of downstreanm gene is activated. If the upstream gene epress a repressor then it will downregulate the expression of downstream gene.
