Answer #1

1. Nitrogenous waste comes form metabolism of protein. Nitrogenous waste include urea , ammonia and uric acids. Ammonia is released from amino acids by oxidative deamination.

2. Liver then detoxify this ammonia. Because ammonia is not water soluble . Ammonia is used in urea cycle and is converted into less toxic urea, which is soluble in water. And excreted out of the body.

3. Functional unit of urinary system is nephron. Each kidney has millions of nephrons. Nephrons filters the blood and waste is excreted out.
