1) holder method - where articles or media are heated at 65o centigrade for 30 min.

2) Flash method - where media are exposed to heat at 72 o C for 15 seconds.

inspissation- where media /constituent is kept in an inspissator and heated to 80-85 o C for 30 min on three successive days.
