Explain why the second immunization leads to higher antibody levels?
Vaccination is a type of active immunization. In the 1st immunization, when body 1st encounters with a virus/ antigen, it produces IgM, followed by IgA, and at last in a low amount IgG. IgM has a lower affinity that IgG. And IgG is the major antibody in immune response due to its height specificity, efficiency. IgG have a half life of 7-21 days. After 1st immunization, memory B cells are formed. When 2nd immunization happens, body can immediately recognize the antigen and produces higher amount of IgG specific for that antigen.that is why secondary antibody response is always higher
