Question

TTT AAA UUU converted to amino acid.

TTT AAA UUU converted to amino acid.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The information stored in DNA is converted into mRNA during the transcription process. The mRNA information is then transferred to the amino acid which forms the protein by the translation process. The mRNA has codons which are a sequence of nucleotides. A single codon codes for a single amino acid.

Normally T is absent from RNA but TTT possibly codes for the Phenylalanine. The AAA codes for Lysine and UUU codes for Phenylalanine.

So the amino acid sequence will be Phe-Lys-Phe.
