These are following 5 features which we expect in a bacterium on Mars for its survival

1.All bacteria should possess features like Archaebacteria to live in extremely harsh conditions like they should have different cell wall composition.

2. They have membranes composed of glycerol-ether lipids, whereas bacteria and eukaryotes have membranes composed mainly of glycerol-ester lipids. Ether bonds are chemically more resistant than ester bonds.

3. Theypossess property to sustain in high Carbon dioxide concenteration as mars has high 95% CO2.

4.They should have property like Methanogens.

5.They should have high content of calcium dipicolinic acid in their structure to make their survival in their best possible way
