Name the two major metabolic processes involved in C cycling from a human to a Burr Oak tree.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

the two major metabolic processes involved in carbon cycling from haman to oak tree are ,respiration and photosynthesis.

Respiration is the process, through which the carbon compounds are get converted into carbon dioxide and water. The carbon dioxide released by the humans enters into the atmosphere from where oak tree takes up the carbon dioxide to prepare food from it in presence of sunlight and water, those photosynthates produced by plants are stored in various parts on which animals feed .

Problem 19.37 Radiation from the head is a major source of heat loss from the human body. Model a head as a 21-cm-diameter, 20-cm-tall cylinder with a flat top. Part A If the body's surface temperature is 36 ∘C , what is the net rate of heat loss on a chilly 9 ∘C day? All skin, regardless of color, is effectively black in the infrared where the radiation occurs, so use an emissivity of 0.95. Express your answer to two...

One kg of water in a piston-cylinder assembly undergoes two processes in series from an initial state where p1 = 0.8 MPa, T1 = 500°C: Process 1-2: Constant-pressure compression until the volume is half of the initial volume. Process 2-3: Constant-volume cooling until the pressure drops to 400 kPa. Sketch the two processes in series on a p-v and T-v diagram. Determine the work and heat transfer for both processes.

Phil Parent purchased a new car from Major Car Company. Two weeks later, he was in a serious car accident when a four-wheel drive drove into the side of his car while he was driving his four-year-old daughter home from school. The driver-side airbag did not open up, and Phil was thrown through the windshield - causing the car to spin around and hit a tree. At that point, the air bag on the passenger side, where his daughter was...
