1. How do sigma factors control cellular differentiation in Bacillus?
Sigma factors are the factors which recognise the specific sequence present in DNA for transcription. As there are several types of Sigma factors like Sigma factor 32 , Sigma factor 70 . As any stress conditions are present in environment the requirements of cell change and different Sigma factor is used for transcription. This change lead to change in mRNA which ultimately form a different protein. As we know proteins are the main and structural , functional units of cell as these structures change their is always a change in cellular differentiation.
