Main type of locomotion in Protozoa are Ameboid, Flageller and Cilliary.

  1. Ameboid locomotion is by the pseudopodia. Pseudopodia are the outgrowth of the membrane and the locomotion is by appearing new pseudopodia and dissappearing of previous one. This type of motion is in Sarcodina.
  2. Flagellar - These are fiber like and are microtubule based orgemalle and movement is due to beating of flagella. This type of movement in some SStages in Sarcodina.
  3. Cilliary locomotion - It is the locomotion by centriolar based orgenalle and motion of microtubules is sliding and bending by dynein motors. This type of motion is found in Cilliates.

Zooxanthellae are the dinoflagellate found in symbiotic association with some marine organisms like jelly fish, sea anemone and Corals. These are having chlorophill.
