Question: List two ways that excretion in arachnids is similar to excretion in humans and describe two ways in which they differ.
I understand that arachnids have two excrete organs, which are coxal gland and Malpighian tubules. In humans, there are four excrete systems, which are urinary, respiratory, biliary, integumentary systems, plus GI tract. Please answer the question and explain thoroughly, easily, and in a simple way. Thank you very much in advance for your help. Please give a chance to other expert to answer this if you are not sure what the question really asks for.
Arachnids need a good amount of energy to produce feces whereas
little energy is used in humans.
Humans(mammals) convert ammonia to urea which is excreted in the
form of urine, whereas arachnids
convert ammonia to uric acid like in birds and reptiles.
The Malpighian tubules present in the arachnids are similar to
the kidneys in humans.
Similar to arachnids, humans have a separate mouth and opening at
the end of alimentary canal and waste is released from opening at
the end of the alimentary canal located near the abdomen.
