What conditions (not genes) control the expression of gene HSP104 and PFK2? Is the gene expressed always, or more/ less so, under certain conditions? What are those conditions?
HSP104 is heat shock protein it activities depend on ATP hydrolysis. Hsp104 is low affinity towards ATP and is strongly inhibited by adenosine diphosphate (ADP).
Gene is less expressed at low temperature.
At high temperature HSP104 is active and expressed more.
High levels of AMP or phosphate group response to stimulation of PFK2. It is inhibited by a high concentration of PEP and citrate.
Gene is less expressed when lot of citrate or PEP molecule accumulates in the glycolysis process.
Gene is more expressed when lot of glucose molecules are given in the medium.
