Describe the importance of the different conformations the DNA takes within the active site of the RT.
The conformational changed occuring in the active site of the DNA is as a result of environment changes. These changes in structure hold functional importance. The alternative B-DNA structures help the proteins that will be involved in replication. These also help in recombination and in expression of genes. These structural changes also help in Nucleosome formation and in formation of supramolecular structures.
The A form of DNA help in the TBPbinding, in cap binding, and helps in the correction or I’d etification of correct bases or incorrect bases of DNA. In bacteria, these act as resistance factors.
