Aminoacids are have one amino group and one carboxylic group and so these can behave as base and acid both. Aminoacids are of two types essential and nonessential amino acids. Non essential amino acids are synthesi,es within the body and Non essential amino acids are required to taken orally or external supplement. Aminoacid give rise to proteins which perform following functions -

1.Structural proteins provide structure like nails hairs.

2. Enzymes which are Protein and are biocatalyst.
