DNA polymerase 1 removes the RNA primers from the fragments and replaces them with nucleotides required for DNA formation in 5' to 3' direction.

DNA polymerase 3 is essential for replication of leading and lagging strands.

Topoisomerases: They are involved in the overwinding or underfunding of DNA. They set right the altered DNA topology occuring during DNA replication and transcription.

Helicase: DNA helicases separate the double stranded DNA into single strands by breaking the hydrogen bonds between nucleotide bases.

Ligase : Enzyme that catalyses joining of DNA strands by catalyzing the formation of phosphodiester bond.

SSBPs: single stranded binding proteins

They bind single stranded DNA and help in formation of central nucleoprotein complex substrate for DNA replication, recombination and repair.
