In muscle, the rate of pyruvate oxidation decreases during a fasted state. What is controlling this process in muscle?

In the muscle pyruvate oxidation is decreased due to low availability of pyruvate.

Glucose is low during fasted state and then low amount of pyruvate.

During this state lactate is converted into glucose which is present in muscles cells.

This process is known as cori cycle

In cori cycle lactate of muscles are transferred to the liver which is converted into glucose by liver cells.

After this the glucose molecules are transferred back to the muscles for oxidation. Then this glucose molecule is converted into pyruvte than after into ATP or energy.
