Answer
Transmembrane protein are basically alpha-helix in nature. It
passes the membrane bilayer. The hydrophilic region of the protein
remain outside toward the water and hydrophobic region embedded
into the membrane to pass. There are presence of non polar amino
acid in this region.
Homeoviscous adaptation: It is the adaptation of a lipids
present in the plasma membrane for maintaining the fluidity of a
membrane.
Example: Animal exposes to cold temperature then it will increase
the unsaturated lipid content in the membrane which increase the
fluidity of the membrane and if the temperature increases then the
fluidity of the membranes is decreases.
