Glycosylation is process of attaching carbohydrate chains to the proteins and that occurs in lumen of endoplasmic reticulam.

When the protein reaches lumen of endoplasmic reticulam, either O linked oligosaccharides and N linked oligosaccharides are added . O linked oligosaccharides are attached to hydroxyl group of serine or threonine amino acids of proteins

Due to the carbohydrate chain attachment, we can see glycosylated threonine in lumen of endoplasmic reticulam proteins
