Discuss the role of auxin and auxin transporters in the formation of the primary vascular system of stems and the venation pattern of leaves.
Answer
Auxin is a plant hormone play role in development of meristematic
tissues. It synthesised in the apical meristem tissue of stem and
transport downward to the different parts. A vascular tissues grow
from meristem and connect various part of the plants. They are
compose of Phloem and Xylem tissue. Phloem transport food via sieve
and xylem transport water through vessels.
Auxin is transported from one part to the other by transport
protein. PIN and PGP are the transport protein. PIN control the
directionality of movement whether efflux or influx. It also
controls in development of vascular tissue and the serration in
leaf.
