1. If any organelle has to be removed from the cell, then it would be microbodies. Microbodies are used to store extra molecules, thus removal of those does not cause any harm to the cell.

2. If a cell grows beyond a limited size it would faces difficulty in transporting materials across the membrane. The transportation of waste and useful molecules across the membrane will be affected. Also, large cell will enforce extra demands on the DNA. Thus, the cell divides and does not grow larger in size.
