previous experiments have not conclusively demonstrated XFF is the allien epinephrine so you decide to investigate other XFF properties using radioactive XFF. Which of the following XFF behaviours confirm that XFF is similar to estrogen

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Ans: XFF diffuses into cytoplasm similar to estrogen.  In the “classical” mechanism of estrogen action, estrogens diffuse into the cell and bind to the ER, which is located in the nucleus. This nuclear estrogen-ER complex binds to estrogen response element sequences directly or indirectly through protein-protein interactions with activator protein 1 (AP1) or SP1 sites in the promoter region of estrogen-responsive genes, resulting in recruitment of coregulatory proteins (coactivators or corepressors) to the promoter, increased or decreased mRNA levels and associated protein production, and a physiological response.

Hence because XFF diffuses into cytoplasm, this confirm that XFF is similar to estrogen.

As a general principle, in order to validate results in scientific experiments, scientists use controls. A control is a group that is designed to demonstrate that the results/changes observed in an experiment were because of the procedure you performed. It sets a baseline value with which the scientist can compare with experimental sample and interpret results, as was demonstrated in the previous question. In this question, we are asking you to describe the control experiments, using the same transformation protocol,...
