DQ2 Name the structures of the eyeball in a chronological order the light ray will pass through?

Answer #1

The entry of light in our eye and formation of image on the retina is a very complex process.
The entry of light can be traced as follows.
1.The cornea is the first element trough which light enters the eye.
It's a dome shaped transparent which forms the first layer of eye.

2.From the cornea ,the light reach the pupil and then to the iris ,here the entry of the light is regulated.

3.Then light enters the convex lens of our eye which focuses the light on the retina ( film on which images are formed)

4. Passing through the vitreous humor ,light reaches the retina, here inverted image is formed.

5. Through optic nerve the visual signal is carried to the brain where it is inverted again and hence image becomes erect.

A ray of light traveling through air strikes a piece of diamond at an angle of incidence equal to 55.5 degrees. Calculate the angular separation in degrees between the red light and the violet light in the refracted ray, given that: The index of refraction of violet light ( Lamdaviolet = 400nm) in diamond is 2.46. The index of refraction of red light ( Lamdared = 700nm) in diamond is 2.41. Enter the numeric value in degrees.
