The entry of light in our eye and formation of image on the
retina is a very complex process.
The entry of light can be traced as follows.
1.The cornea is the first element trough which light enters the
eye.
It's a dome shaped transparent which forms the first layer of
eye.
2.From the cornea ,the light reach the pupil and then to the iris ,here the entry of the light is regulated.
3.Then light enters the convex lens of our eye which focuses the light on the retina ( film on which images are formed)
4. Passing through the vitreous humor ,light reaches the retina, here inverted image is formed.
5. Through optic nerve the visual signal is carried to the brain where it is inverted again and hence image becomes erect.
