The three characteristics which has evolved in mammalian brain in due course of evolution are

i. In mammals neocortex portion of the brain has become the largest portion of the rostral part of the forebrain , telencephalon. It consists of six layers and cytoarchitecture is the main characteristics which is unique of mammalian brain.

ii. Diencephalon and cerebellum are also become enlarged and complex in mammals in comparison to other vertebrates.

iii. The limbic portion of the brain first appeared in the early mammamls which have become more advanced in due course of evolution. This portion is responsible for recording memories and other produce agreeable and disagreeable experiences,
